As with many buzzwords, the term has been bolted onto things that may or may not have anything to do with AI. AI, generative or otherwise, is when a computer program has the ability to perform tasks normally done by humans. This is NOT automation. Control programming is one of my favorite parts of AV. This is not it. You pressing a button or triggering a motion sensor, to bring down the screen isn’t AV. That’s automation. A program writing the code to make that happen from some prompts would be AI.
