CVS Announces Health Dashboard Platform | Healthcare Innovation
On Feb. 28, CVS Health announced via a press release that its digital consumers now can access their vaccination cards through its Health Dashboard platform.
The release states that “Accessed through CVS.com or the CVS app, Health Dashboard allows people who have received their vaccinations at a CVS Pharmacy or MinuteClinic location to digitally access their vaccination information wherever and whenever they need it. If you’ve received a COVID-19 vaccine at a CVS Pharmacy location, you can access our new Health Card (QR code) feature, leveraging the SMART Health Card standard. Family members will soon be able to access health records for minors, such as someone’s pharmacy records, vaccine history or information on which new vaccines you may need to receive in the future.”
The release adds that one of the Health Dashboard’s goals is to give consumers a more holistic, 360-degree view of their health. The dashboard will rollout features such as scheduling care in person or online to accessing health, vaccine and pharmacy records and lab results, care navigation, and personalized actions prompting individuals with tips and reminders for maintaining overall health.
The release concludes by saying that “Those who have received at least one vaccination at a CVS Health location can now access their personalized Health Dashboard by creating an account or logging in to an existing CVS.com account.”
Over the last several months, CVS has been in the news several times due to its new initiatives. We reported on Dec. 12, 2021, that CVS Health Corp. executives will lean on both acquisitions and partnerships to expand the scope of its primary care offerings in coming years to include care coordination and mental health services.
On Jan. 21, we reported that CVS Health announced its collaboration with Uber Health, Uber’s healthcare arm, to provide critical transportation support at no cost to individuals who need it most when seeking access to medical care, work, or educational programs.
Last month, on Feb. 15, we reported that CVS Health announced that consumers can now locate, order, and pick up at-home COVID-19 tests at no cost through CVS.com or the CVS app. Additionally, individuals do not need to submit a claim to their health insurance provider.
