Bolton News Business Awards 2023: Innovation Award | The Bolton News
The Innovation Award was handed to Essentialise Workplace Wellbeing at a ceremony at the Bolton Whites Hotel last week.
A keynote speech from Bolton Council leader Nick Peel paid tribute to the innovative qualities of businesses from all around the borough.
Cllr Peel said: “Tonight, Bolton Council is proud to sponsor the Innovation Award.
“This is a fitting category for us, because innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
“Whether that’s in our approach to partnerships, to securing government funding or in reimagining our town centres to meet the changing demands of today’s customers.
“But we are also keen to create spaces for businesses of all sizes to innovate.
“Spaces like Wingates and Logistics North allow business to grow and bring forward new innovations in products and services.
“As I speak, work is also underway to convert the Wellspring building into a £11m Business and Innovation Hub, creating a dynamic workspace environment for digital and creative technology businesses and start-ups to come together and thrive.”
The award category was one of several handed out to the different businesses throughout the evening, hosted by comedian and writer Shazia Mirza and opened by Bolton New regional editor Richard Duggan.
Cllr Peel said he hoped events like these would help show that the borough’s economy was capable of.
He said: “There is so many exciting things happening in Bolton, much more than I can cover in the short time I have with you tonight.
“So, if I could leave you with one message it would be this, come and talk to us.
“Talk to us about our regeneration projects, talk to us about the support Business Bolton can offer and talk to us about how you can help us shape Bolton’s bright future.”
