Games Innovation Fund

The SAFC Games Innovation Fund aims to support the progress of outstanding, original and creative games for production in South Australia. All games must be intended for public release.

What is on offer?

The maximum amount applicants can apply for is $25,000. Funds are made available as a grant. The SAFC may not be able to fully fund all stages of development. Innovation funds should be viewed as a subsidy and other sources of funding should be considered.

Submit your application through the SAFC’s online grant portal.

Applications close Tuesday, 1 October at 11.59pm ACST.

Successful applicants will be notified Wednesday, 23 October.

2019 Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP)

Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) is Australia’s largest community-based conference focussed in up-skilling, panel discussions and networking opportunities, for the Australian games industry. GCAP is part of Melbourne International Games Week, Asia Pacific’s largest digital games celebration featuring conferences, events and activities for the games industry, games enthusiasts, educationalists and the general public. The 2018 event hosted over 76,000 local and international guests.

This year’s GCAP theme is “Lighting the Way” which draws on the age-old symbolism of strength and light to guide home through turbulent waters. GCAP is held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7-9 October 2019.

What is on offer?

The South Australian Film Corporation will support up to 15 South Australian resident, emerging and established games industry practitioners to attend the Forum. The SAFC will cover the full cost of the conference registration.
