Reynaers event shows how innovation drives efficiency

Reynaers Aluminium UK welcomed architects, fabricators and installers to a series of Innovation Days to showcase its products and plans for the future.

Held at Reynaers’ UK headquarters in the West Midlands, the Innovation Days gave attendees an insight into key developments from Reynaers, including how it is embedding digitalisation across its operations to support the whole value chain and improve efficiencies.

One of the sessions led by Reynaers’ experts looked at the evolution of some of the company’s most popular products and systems in line with market and customer demand. There was also a focus on the company’s innovative and ambitious approach to sustainability during the events, which provided an insight into the company’s ambitious strategy for reducing its environmental impact by signing up to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and making a company-wide commitment to change the way it acts in pursuit of cutting its energy emissions ahead of net zero in 2050.

Visitors were also given a tour of the company’s newly opened warehouse extension. The 95,000 sq. ft expansion, completed earlier this year, was implemented to minimise the impact of supply issues affecting the market and customers, and will enable Reynaers to meet growing demand for its products and systems, providing a 46 per cent increase in capacity.

Customers were given an exclusive insight into some of the latest product developments introduced this year as well as looking ahead to future product innovations. There was also a tour of the newly updated state-of-the-art showroom giving visitors a first-hand view of some of Reynaers’ most innovative and popular products.

The event also highlighted the part that digital innovation will play in the future at Reynaers. Michel Van Put, Chief Product Officer at Reynears, set out how the company intends to build upon its existing software systems to further support clients by making real-time, cloud-based quotes available to support architects or sales representatives working in the field.

To make information more readily available to architects and fabricators, Reynaers also shared its plans to digitise its catalogue to feature comprehensive links to all elements of its products.

The topic of sustainability ran throughout the Innovation Days and included a dedicated session on the Roadmap to Net Zero 2050 led by Technical Services Director John McComb. He explained the steps Reynaers is already taking to cut energy emissions in the UK by designing doors, windows and curtain walls that meet and exceed energy requirements.

Managing Director of Reynaers UK, Richard Hall said “Customers are at the heart of Reynears’ approach and innovation allows us to meet and exceed expectations.

“We focus on identifying and meeting future trends along with enhancing the customer experience by upgrading products, ensuring environmental compliance, simplifying installation and making sure we offer cost-efficient products.

“The Innovation Days provided a great opportunity to allow our customers an insight into future developments and to share with them first-hand how improvements and upgrades can benefit their business.”
