t-hub: Technion Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center: Next Level Innovation

The Technion is one of the main drivers of Israel’s Start-Up Nation, with more than 70% of its graduates employed in high-tech. To harness students’ abundance of creativity and innovation, the Technion created an all-encompassing home for entrepreneurial activities.

Known as t-hub, the Technion Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, promotes entrepreneurial thinking and education through interdisciplinary curricula and programs that embrace collaboration, while focusing on the commercialization of research. Established in 2018 with a $2.7 million grant from Israel’s Council for Higher Education, the t-hub offers an MBA for entrepreneurs that combines a master’s degree in business administration with practical support for launching startups.

Next Level Innovation

The Technion proposes to expand t-hub through the establishment and construction of the Technion Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. The proposed upgrade includes the construction of an additional floor above t-hub’s current home on the 4th floor of the Ullmann Teaching Center. With spaces on the 4th and 5th floors, the Technion Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center will have the space it needs to grow and better serve the Technion community. This necessary expansion will help the Technion actively nurture the university’s research community and facilitate the transfer of cutting-edge R&D efforts to commercially viable applications that directly impact society. The Technion Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center will

be looked upon as a beacon of innovation, not just here at the Technion, but across Israel and around the globe. The Technion Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center will span 1,500 m² (approx. 16,000 ft²) and will serve as the main venue for t-hub seminars, workshops, academic and non-academic classes, as well as community events.
