In June 2019 Newcastle was recognised as Smart City of the Year at the DL100 Awards for its collaborative approach to improving outcomes for people. Since then, they’ve continued to work across the public, private and academic sector to drive innovation across key themes such mobility and parking, data, connectivity and assistive technology.
