Starkey’s Genesis AI Named CES Innovation Award Honoree
Starkey announced its new Genesis AI hearing aids have been named a CES 2024 Innovation Awards Honoree in the accessibility and aging technology category. The award for Genesis AI honors products with outstanding design, engineering, and innovation, with winners chosen from thousands of applications around the world, according to Starkey. “At Starkey, we’ve reengineered the hearing aid both inside and out, creating the industry’s best performing hearing aids on the market,” says Starkey President and CEO Brandon Sawalich. “Genesis AI is a once-in-a-decade development in advanced technology, packed within a beautiful design that has turned hearing aids into a communication and health device that people will want to wear.” Starkey’s Genesis AI seeks to redefine the future of hearing health, not just with incremental improvements, but with breakthrough benefits. The Starkey Neuro Processor within Genesis AI features advanced processor technology, which mimics the function of the central auditory system through an on-chip Deep Neural Network accelerator. It is not only the smallest processor ever introduced by Starkey, but also the most powerful with six times more transistors, the company says. It is also loaded with five times more processor memory in addition to 10 times the amount of system memory.
