Launch Workplaces Partners with Montgomery County to Manage Germantown and Rockville Innovation Centers
EDGEWATER, MD., June 5, 2019 – Launch Workplaces, a network of collaborative workspaces owned by The Brick Companies with a coworking management services division, today announced its been contracted by Montgomery County to manage two county business incubators, the Germantown Innovation Center and the Rockville Innovation Center.
In 2018, Launch Workplaces and Montgomery County began a partnership with Launch Workplaces remodeling and managing the 20,000-square-foot Silver Spring Innovation Center. The three innovation centers make up Montgomery County’s Business Innovation Network, a network that specializes in helping startups and small businesses in the technology, cyber security, life sciences, and professional services industries.
With the new contract, Launch Workplaces will manage communications, portfolio management services, and programming for the Germantown Innovation Center and the Rockville Innovation Center. To foster a greater sense of community in the Centers, Launch Workplaces will plan and execute programming including business educational seminars, networking opportunities, one-on-one counseling, discounts on membership services, and general technical support services to give entrepreneurs the tools needed to grow their business and opportunities to learn from others who share interests or challenges.

The Germantown Innovation Center, located at 20271 Goldenrod Lane in Germantown, is Montgomery County’s premier space for life sciences companies as it features wet labs in partnership with Montgomery College’s start-of-the-art biotech facilities. The Center is 32,000 square feet with 45 offices, two huddle areas, two conference rooms, one multi-purpose room that seats up to 100 people, and 12 wet labs averaging 500 square feet for life science companies.
Located at 155 Gibbs Street in Rockville, the Rockville Innovation Center, is 23,000 square feet of flexible office space on two floors. There are 45 offices and office suites, four huddle areas, and 4,000 square feet of open space for a coworking environment.
