Celebrating a Year of Innovation and Leadership CHC would like to recognize the one-year anniversary of welcoming Jean C. Accius, PhD as our new president and CEO. Accius’ first day at CHC was on February 27, 2023. He was appointed to the role following a 6-month search after the announcement of the retirement of long-time CHC CEO Tom Bognanno, who led the organization for 17 years. In his first year of leadership, Accius has built on the transformational journey that CHC has undergone in recent years, expanding our work into greater health equity focus while maintaining our strong nonprofit partnerships. Accius has led the organization in the development of a multi-year, collaborative strategic plan; facilitated the continued growth of our health equity programmatic initiatives and positioned the organization as a thought leader in health equity, volunteerism and workplace giving.
