Gucci is bringing the Fast Company European Innovation Festival to Italy

Gucci is serious about innovation. In 2018, the fashion house established Gucci ArtLab, a facility in Florence that focuses on leather goods and shoes, and the experimentation of innovative processes surrounding that particular segment of the business. Fast forward a year later, Gucci is now leading the charge for an innovative society—not just in the fashion sector—by powering the Fast Company European Innovation Festival (FCEIF) to Milan and Florence.

FCEIF is the first-ever global iteration of Fast Company‘s annual New York City summit, the Fast Company Innovation Festival. Themed as ‘The Dawn of Superintelligence’, FCEIF will spread across three days between the two cities, and is packed with keynote conversations, panel discussions, networking events and live demonstrations—all aimed at exploring ways man and machine can collaborate better. Given that technology is fast advancing to feature human-esque capabilities, how can a harmonious relationship be achieved then? A topic that’s worth exploring in light of the current state of the world.

The Gucci ArtLab in Florence will be open to a select group of FCEIF participants on 11 July 2019.

The line-up of speakers are as diverse as it can possible get; this is after all, a conversation that’s relevant across all industries. The speakers include Gucci’s president and CEO Marco Bizzarri, filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, author Yuzal Noah Harari, tech-based fashion artist Martine Jarlgaard, chef Massimo Bottura, and musician Jared Leto.

As one of the biggest luxury fashion houses out there, Gucci is definitely making its mark beyond solely fashion, especially with its many side projects that are more humanitarian in nature. And we can all be thankful for that.

The Fast Company European Innovation Festival will start in Milan on 9 July 2019 and will end on 11 July 2019. Tickets and more information are available at the official site.
