Announcing EXPO.health 2020 – Leveling Up Your Innovation Efforts | Healthcare IT Today

Every year we go to a lot of conferences – at least 50+. Over the past several years we began to notice that many health IT conferences were focused on breakthrough and disruptive innovations that may help healthcare organizations a decade from now. We saw a real need for healthcare organizations to discover practical innovations that can help with the pressing demands of their jobs. That’s why three years ago we created the EXPO.health conference. We wanted to provide a space for health IT professionals to come together and share practical innovations that can benefit organizations today, not 10 years from now.

Rather than having EXPO.health try to be all things to everyone, we’ve focused the conference around these 5 areas:

In many ways, EXPO.health has become a user conference for health IT professionals who don’t have a community of healthcare peers at another conference. The Director of Infrastructure will feel right at home in the IT Dev Ops theme at EXPO.health where they can network with healthcare peers in a way that’s not available at any other conference. A hospital or health system CISO will find a community of security and privacy peers connecting and sharing the latest solutions, programs, and initiatives that have proven effective in other organizations. I could go on, but I think you get the point. EXPO.health brings together these specific communities the way other professionals get to do at their user conferences.

Of course, CIOs and aspiring CIOs love attending EXPO.health as well so they can get the full cross section of ideas that are happening across the spectrum of health IT. CIOs at EXPO.health understand the need to work across multiple disciplines and the need to partner effectively with the right vendors in order to ensure the success of their organization. Plus, they get a chance to network with other CIOs in a casual environment that understands the networking is as valuable as the content.

Speaking of content, multiple attendees commented how the content at EXPO.health was as good or better than any other conference they’d attended. We work hard to ensure the content at EXPO.health is actionable and useful to those in attendance. In our EXPO.health Call for Speakers, which just opened, we literally require all submissions share the actionable takeaways attendees will receive from any presentation submitted. This ensures that starting from step 1 the community is thinking of how a presentation will help you and your organization. If you have something practical to share, submit a session before April 17, 2020 when the Call for Speakers closes.

If you’re a health IT vendor interested in taking part of a community like the one described above, we have a number of sponsorship options available. EXPO.health sponsors understand that it’s about building relationships in healthcare. For example, we encourage sponsors to take part in the sessions and be part of the conversation rather than be stuck in their booth. Collaboration brings connection which allows innovation to thrive in the EXPO.health community.

Registration is now open for the EXPO.health 2020 conference happening September 29 – October 1, 2020 in Las Vegas. We’ll be announcing the full conference program once the Call for Speakers is over, but take a look at the 2019 conference program to get a feel for what to expect.

We look forward to seeing the EXPO.health community in Las Vegas in 2020!
