The PAYTECH Book launches in London with the PAYTECH Innovation Conference
The PAYTECH Book is the first crowdsourced book on payment technologies and new business models in the global finance sector. It’s written by thought leaders and influencers in the global fintech and payment industries, presenting valuable first-hand insights from prominent industry practitioners.
The initial call for potential co-authors of the book was released and shared across the wider FINTECH Circle community which resulted in 170 submitted proposals from a diverse range of industry experts.
The Book editors were assigned to the difficult task of shortlisting the abstracts and in the end selected 76 authors to contribute to The PAYTECH Book, designed to be a payment technology handbook for investors, entrepreneurs and finance visionaries.
The editors come from both industry and academic backgrounds. Susanne Chishti who in 2014 founded FINTECH Circle, draws her experience from 14 years in banking, with senior positions held at Morgan Stanley, Lloyds Banking Group and Deutsche Bank.
Robert Courtneidge, CEO of Moorwand, has more than 26 years of experience in the cards and payment systems and is skilled in all aspects of consumer finance issues, including consumer protection, banking regulation and compliance and data protection.
Tony Cradock is Director General of the Emerging Payments Association and has held several senior positions in the payments industry.
Markos Zachariadis is a Professor and holds the Greensill Chair in Financial Technology & Information Systems at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and is an expert in payment infrastructures.
Susanne Chishti commented: “We are delighted to extend our successful partnership with the global publishing house WILEY for our 4th book. In this book we aim to answer some of the most pressing questions of our time about the future of the payments sector, from collaboration methods, the role of central banks and regulators to opportunities for the payments industry to innovate faster.”
The PAYTECH Book has been published in early 2020 and is now available on Amazon!
The Book launch will be officially marked on the 17 February 2020 at the new Société Générale office tower in Canary Wharf, London, where many of the contributing authors will fly in from around the world to celebrate their collaboration and to discuss digital trends in paytech with leaders of the global payments industry.
The PAYTECH Innovation Conference will follow the next day on the 18 February with experts who will exclusively share their visions and unique insights on the nature of payments, systems infrastructures, regulations, the impact of new technologies, such as blockchain and AI, as well as providing case studies and projections about the future of payment technology innovation.
