Israeli Health Innovation Company Expands into Missouri

Uniper Care, a health innovation company founded in Israel, is targeting St. Louis, Missouri, as part of its expansion in the U.S. after being awarded a contract for its technology to be used at the Veterans Affairs St. Louis Health Care System.

However, the expansion to Missouri wasn’t in Uniper’s original plans as they thought this part of the U.S. was “fly over” country. After visiting St. Louis in 2019 and then returning for follow-up meetings, things changed and contracts began to be signed.

Uniper Care’s contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the St. Louis VA comes as it eyes additional deals with St. Louis health care groups. This investment in Missouri follows the company’s participation in GlobalSTL’s 2019 Health Innovation Summit. GlobalSTL is the international recruitment arm of local bioscience booster BioSTL.

The company’s technology platform is designed to provide seniors with health care services and activities to mitigate loneliness. Its platform is used through television, computer, tablets and mobile devices. The contract with the VA St. Louis Health Care system will include providing veterans with live community activities, recorded health and wellness programs, and the ability to video chat with family.
