Durham showcases local talent and innovation at virtual tech conference | Durham Radio News
Durham Region is putting the spotlight on local innovation, talent and creativity at an online technology conference that starts Tuesday.
Collision from Home is a global conference for networking, education and lead generation for the technology and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) sectors.
Invest Durham will be involved in the conference, aiming to share local Durham success stories and open the door for more investment in the region.
Durham College, Ontario Tech University and Trent University Durham GTA will also be at the conference.
In addition to the regional presence, all eight local municipalities will also be taking part.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has presented many new challenges for virtually every sector,” said Regional Chair John Henry. “As the eastern anchor of the Greater Toronto Area’s tech ecosystem, our innovation community is ready to build new partnerships that take the world’s current challenges and turn them into opportunities.”
