Automating the Design of Objects – Center for Data Innovation

Researchers from Princeton University and Columbia University have released a dataset of 15 million 2D computer-aided designs to advance systems that can assist in designing real-world objects. The dataset includes the constraints for each design, such as if lines should create a particular angle. The dataset also includes the sequence in which an individual added shapes to a design, which can help machine learning systems predict the next steps in designing an object.
