What to expect

This year’s event has gone fully digital, allowing manufacturers and industry leaders to connect, develop and diversify even in these uncertain times.

Digital Manufacturing Week is five days packed full of talks, exhibitions and knowledge-sharing sessions. Each day is defined by a theme such as SME growth or future tech, with the goal of connecting attendees with manufacturing technology solutions.

Manufacturing Leaders Summit

The Manufacturing Leaders Summit takes place 9-12 November and brings together senior executives and expert speakers from around the globe to share insights and solutions.

Chair of Digital Catapult and co-chair of Made Smarter, Juergen Maier will be presenting the keynote ‘Manufacturing Made Smarter as a key lever to our nation’s levelling up’ at 13:00 – 13:20 on the first day.

Our very own Communications Director, Rosa Wilkinson will be chairing day one’s exciting schedule.

Content will be available between 13:00 GMT – 17:00 GMT each day.

Solutions Arena

The event is hosting several solutions arenas to help manufacturers and industry stakeholders access specific information and support;

  • Leadership & Strategy Arena
  • Scaling Digital for Competitive Advantage Arena
  • Capacity Planning & Productivity Arena
  • Business & OT Transformation Arena

Our Chief Technology Officer Sam Turner is giving the day one keynote in the Leadership and Strategy Arena, speaking on Net Zero Manufacturing at 10:00-10:30 am. And the AMRC’s Head of Digital, Rab Scott will follow up with an interesting keynote of his own titled ‘Piecing together the Smart Factory jigsaw’ on Tuesday 10th at 11:15-11:30 am.

Next up in the Innovate UK Net Zero Arena on Thursday, Sam Turner will be sharing his ‘Driving Innovation in Sustainable Manufacturing’ talk at 16:00-16:15 pm before introducing the Made Smarter Innovation Hubs on Friday at 13:30-13:45 pm back in the Leadership and Strategy Arena.

We’ll also be sharing some new video content throughout the week.

Smart Factory Expo

If you’re a start-up or SME looking for the newest and best tech, the Smart Factory Expo provides a space to discover new ways of thinking and operating.
