SatSure to launch an Open Innovation Platform powered by Microsoft Azure – Geospatial World

SatSure has leveraged the power of Microsoft Azure to launch an open innovation version of its Big Data platform SPARTA, which would offer satellite-derived datasets of crops, climate, and water, along with location data of post-harvest infrastructure and commodity prices, in a freemium model. SatSure SPARTA – Open, which is currently running in beta with limited enterprise partners in India and Europe, will be available to the public from 15th of January, 2021.

SatSure SPARTA will be using key components offered by Microsoft Azure, to provide seamless and automated workflows for developers and startups to build applications on top of its spatial data services, via easy integration of APIs and SDKs.

SatSure’s open innovation move is aligned with its ecosystem building strategy, and it believes that SPARTA – Open will play a key role in unlocking the potential of Agritech in India and other developing countries. The Microsoft for Agritech Startups program has provided an ideal platform for SatSure to launch such open data services, as the program is designed to support startups for leveraging the expertise and reach of Microsoft while disrupting the industry status quo on data accessibility and availability.
