Ecosystem with Innovation in the DNA

We talked to Gleb Divov, Founder and Visioner of the FAYR Ecosystem about innovation and here is what he said about it.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Gleb Divov: Thanks, we’re doing well and really happy that the situation is getting better! Hoping that you’re good too!

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded FAYR Ecosystem.

Gleb Divov: I’m an IT and music/show business professional with over 20 years of experience. I’m a serial entrepreneur and a curator.

I’m an inventor of the Musical Blockchain – a multi-awarded world’s first psychology-based AI music composer and a founder/visioner of the FAYR Ecosystem.

FAYR Ecosystem was founded and bootstrapped in 2017 with (at that time) launched 3 interconnected projects. Over the years, we launched more Flagship Projects, covered more areas and industries, and have a great vision for the future.

Now – it is an international Ecosystem of internal projects, creating pioneering innovations at the intersection of technologies with the culture/music/art, education, psychology/healthcare, urban environment, acoustic/soundscape ecology, carbon footprint reduction, zero-waste lifestyle, smart cities, travel, tourism, and hospitality and other areas and industries.

Last but not least, I’m the minister of culture and innovations of the world’s most innovative micronation – the Republic of Užupis in Lithuania.

How does FAYR Ecosystem innovate?

Gleb Divov: Innovation is in the FAYR Ecosystem’s DNA and is deeply rooted in its culture.

We do this from the very beginning by fusing science, culture, and technology, sensing, feeling, and impacting the world around and within.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Gleb Divov: When you work in the real world, pandemics affect absolutely everything you do.

Even so, COVID-19 times brought many opportunities for field testing of new ideas and technologies.

We closed public access to some of our projects to undergo planned and unplanned upgrades, at the same time, rolled out MVPs that we never planned – and collected a rich dataset on that.

With the show business shutdown, we changed the approach to our artificial live shows with Musical Blockchain and successfully entered VR spaces.

Additionally – launched in public and beta more XR/Metaverse/Multiverse and blockchain/NFT/audioNFT related stuff to help artists. Changed our approach to education.

To help small businesses, we launched the Zero-Waste initiative and implemented new features into Crowded. Place platform for a post-COVID future.

New projects for the music, art, and fashion industries are already waiting to go public.

Are we catching up? Yes.

And again – even ahead of time.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Gleb Divov: Most difficult choices are about shutting the projects down.

Decisions were made.

 – Don’t be afraid to fail.

 – Don’t be afraid to experiment.

 – Try again.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Gleb Divov: Most of the specific tools we use are created in-house, and the 2020 Field Test showed their effectiveness and weaknesses. Lessons learned.

Most demanded management skills: analytical, decision-making and strategic thinking, communication.

At the end of the day, collaboration and communication were the keys to our success.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Gleb Divov: Just because we cover more than one area – there is a lot of competition involved.

It is great that there is no direct competition here, and we occupy our own niche.

Few names to mention: gigmit, 2good2go, tribes, and others.

One of our best strategies is “smart competitors work together.”

That’s why we collaborate, make partnerships, and work together.

And have a nice, positive outcome that improves the world around.

Your final thoughts?

Gleb Divov: 2021 will affect all industries no less than 2020 – and you have to think quickly and sharp.

You have to be flexible and open-minded to find the right solution.

You need to be able to re-think what and how you’re doing.

You need to help others.

And we are happy to be that way.
