Educate to innovate: STEM directors and corporate innovation
Tien-Shih Hsieh is an associate professor of accounting at the Charlton School of Business, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Dr. Hsieh’s research focuses on the effects of corporate executives on corporate accounting and auditing practices. He has published papers in journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting, and the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy.
Jeong-Bon Kim is chair professor of accountancy and Acting Dean of the College of Business, City University of Hong Kong. Professor Kim is a prolific researcher, having published over 120 refereed journal articles in leading scholarly journals in accounting, finance, and international business, of which 30 were published in premier journals such as The Accounting Review, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, and the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS). Professor Kim has served as an Editor of the JIBS (Accounting Area) since January 2020. He is currently Editor-in-Chief for the China Journal of Accounting Research and Editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting and Economics.
Ray R. Wang is an assistant professor of accounting at the School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Wang’s research interests primarily lie in corporate disclosure, financial reporting, corporate governance, financial intermediation, and capital markets. She also specializes in research in accounting and finance based on machine learning and Big Data. Dr. Wang’s research has been published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics.
Zhihong Wang is an associate professor of accounting at the School of Management, Clark University. Dr. Wang’s research interests lie in multidisciplinary study at the intersection of psychological theory-based decision-making and financial and managerial management activities. Dr. Wang’s recent publications have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Corporate Finance, and the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy.
