Farming Connect Innovation & Diversification Wales 2022 – date announced | Farm Business
Farming Connect has announced the date of this year’s Innovation & Diversification Wales event, which is back for first time since the pandemic.
If you want to showcase a product or service, or promote your organisation at Farming Connect’s Innovation & Diversification 2022 show, which is scheduled to take place at the Royal Welsh Showground on Wednesday 15 June, you need to submit your online ‘expression of interest’ form to ensure your exhibitor space is booked as soon as possible.
Farming Connect is delivered by Menter a Busnes and Lantra Wales, and it is funded by the Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
The first-ever Innovation & Diversification Wales event was held at the Royal Welsh Showground in September 2019, and it attracted over 1,000 visitors and 90 exhibitors.
Build on momentum
“What an outstanding success”, and “can we have more events like this please?” was the overwhelming feedback in a post-event survey conducted by Menter a Busnes, which, along with Lantra Wales, delivered the event on behalf of the Welsh Government. This year’s event aims to build on that momentum by encouraging even more farm and forestry businesses to tap into the support, information, diversification ideas and new technologies that will help them succeed in today’s increasingly competitive marketplace.
Eirwen Williams, director of rural programmes with Menter a Busnes, says that the clock is already ticking for exhibitors wanting to book a place for this year’s event. She says the planning team are already working on a format that will be ‘even bigger’ and ‘better’ than before!
“We had such an overwhelmingly positive response to the first event, from both visitors and exhibitors alike, and we want to build on that success. It has helped many of those involved to make valuable new contacts, develop or set up new diversified ventures and implement innovative and more efficient ways of working.”
The 2019 show attracted a diverse range of inspirational, colourfully-named celebrity speakers, such as The Black Farmer and The Red Shepherdess. The show also included a series of sector-specific workshops with exhibitors showcasing innovative new technologies for farm and forestry businesses. Keep an eye on the Farming Connect website to learn who’s lined up for 2022.
Billed as an event to inspire, motivate and circulate, with networking and making new contacts cited as one of the key benefits, this year’s event promises to live up to the success story of 2019.
“For any exhibitors wanting a piece of the action this year, it’s time to submit your expression of interest by booking a stand,” said Mrs Williams.
