Knowledge and Innovation Manager: Human Resources Committee at International Association of Public Transport on EURACTIV JobSite

UITP (International Association of Public Transport) is a passionate champion of sustainable urban mobility and is the only worldwide network to bring together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. We have more than 1,900 member companies coming from over 100 countries. Our members are public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, research institutes and the public transport supply and service industry. 

We are currently looking for a KNOWLEDGE AND INNOVATION MANAGER: HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

MAIN DUTIES 

The manager will be responsible for the transversal topic: Business and Human Resources Management.  She/He will be responsible for leading, coordinating and contributing to knowledge and research activities on all aspects of Human Resources, including Social Dialogue and for facilitating the exchange and interaction between stakeholders.  One of his/her main tasks and responsibilities will be to manage to committees composed of up to 50 members of UITP respectively, dedicated to Human Resources and Social Dialogue related issues. 

The mission of the Business and Human Resources  Management (BHRM) Committee is to support UITP members to adopt a modern and innovative corporate and Human Resources management that competes with the management of other service industries, according to their own context and needs.  

The Committee has several parallel working groups dedicated to specific issues such as: diversity & inclusion, impact of digitalisation on the workforce, capacity building and jobs of the future.

As the BHRM committee manager, she/he will need to: 

He/She will work within the Service Excellence Unit and will work closely with other committees’ managers from those units.  

He/she will be reporting to the Service Excellence Head of Unit.

The position implies leadership and consensus-building and diplomatic skills to conciliate the different interests of the actors to move positions forward in line with the association’s and sector’s strategies. It also requires a an open mind and creative thinking to experiment new ways of sharing knowledge and delivering content production.
