RetailEXPO Innovation Awards 2019: Shortlist announced – Retail Design World

The shortlist has been announced for the RetailEXPO Innovation Awards 2019 – with winners due to be announced live at the event, which is held from 1-2 May.
The highly competitive awards scheme celebrates agencies and vendors which have developed innovative products or services designed to enhance customer experience across the entire retail sector. Ideas from in-store design and digital signage to biometric payments technology and robotics, and much in between, are eligible.
Each year a panel of industry experts judges the entries. The panel this year included JML CEO Ken Daly, Hammerson head of customer experience Kathryn Malloch, Payments Consultancy director Mark McMurtrie, Essential Retail editor Caroline Baldwin, and Retail Design World editor Matthew Valentine.
The ten shortlisted entries will be featured on the Innovation Awards Wall at RetailEXPO, and the winner named at the Tech Zone Networking Bar on the first day of the event.
“At a time of unprecedented technological advancement and in the context of a fast-moving and challenging retail trading environment, innovation has never been as critical to the success of modern multichannel retailing.  Our Innovation Awards champion the ground-breaking solutions that have the power to re-energise retailers’ operations and drive business performance,” says RetailEXPO event director Matt Bradley.
“A hallmark of the very best-in-breed technologies that have the power to digitally transform retailing, we congratulate all of the companies shortlisted in what was a highly competitive competition this year, and look forward to announcing the overall winner at the show in May.”
Last year the award was won by Tokinomo . Founder Ionut Vlad says, “We were delighted to win the Innovation Award at last year’s show – there is always so much innovation on display, making it a highly competitive award programme, so we were thrilled to come away with the win. It is a real honour and testament to the dedication, passion and innovation that is behind the solution, which looks to drive forward in-store customer experience.”
