Karnataka Education Innovation Conference on Internalization held
Hosted by the International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), UK, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Higher Education Council, the Karnataka Education Innovation Conference (KEIC) 2022 was inaugurated by the Karnataka state Minister for Higher Education, Dr. Ashwath Narayan C. N, in Bengaluru on Oct 15. The theme of the conference was Education Beyond Borders: Internationalization: The Way Forward and several leading partner institutes, Government representatives and HR experts across the globe participated in the one-day long event.
Major topics of discussion at the conference were education beyond borders: the way forward in the context of internationalisation; Building digital infrastructure for global learners; Building the global talent pool; and a VC round table on Creating Universities of the future through partnership working.
The conference featured eminent speakers and delegates from the government, academia, industry, and foreign universities. While inaugurating the conference, Dr. Ashwath Narayan C.N, said, ” The National Education Policy 2020 places a great deal of focus on internationalisation of higher education in order to integrate the global and intercultural dimensions of higher education. In addition, the latest guidelines from the UGC on dual degree programs, have opened up plenty of opportunities in this direction. I hope that the engaging discussions during the conference will help in paving the way for the creation of universities of the future through partnerships and collaborations”.

During his recent visit to the UK, Dr. Ashwath Narayan met with regulators, professional bodies, and prominent universities to discuss future collaborations that will improve education and skills in Karnataka.
