Adobe celebrates 40 years of innovation in software development

A retrospective of the most important moments in the company’s history

Adobe, the American company famous for software products such as Photoshop and Acrobat, marks 40 years of existence, being one of the longest-lived IT companies in history. Founded on December 3, 1982 by Americans John Warnock and Chuck Geschke, Adobe has become, over the years, a center of excellence and benchmark in innovation and development of disruptive software products.

Four decades after its founding, Adobe produces approximately 100 software products, including some of the most widely used programs in the world, such as , Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express, Lightroom and Premiere Pro. Adobe Romania, the company’s largest center in Europe

On a local level, the subsidiary of the IT giant, Adobe Romania, the largest Adobe center in Europe focused on the development of software products, established in 2006, by taking over the local startup Interakt Online, reached the threshold of 1000 employees in October.
