Information about the camera, processor, dimensions, and other aspects of the alleged iPhone 16 devices have been revealed. A recent report suggests that the smartphones will boast ultra-thin bezels. Apple is anticipated to implement a novel technology known as BRS, short for Border Reduction Structure, in order to diminish the bezel size on the upcoming iPhone 16 models, as per a report from Sisajournal (via @Tech_Reve). Referred to commonly as the ‘Borderless’ technology, this innovation aids in creating slimmer bezels, particularly reducing the thickness of the bottom bezel, also known as the chin, by “rolling the copper wires at the bottom upward.”. The report stated that Samsung Display and LG Display, companies known for supplying screens for iPhone 16 models, are set to incorporate BRS technology. This technology is expected to be integrated into all four rumored models – the standard iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. This move could be seen as a progression towards Apple’s alleged goal of creating a borderless smartphone. The iPhone 16 Pro variants are rumored to have larger displays compared to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. Specifically, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to sport a 6.27-inch (159.31 mm) screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is anticipated to come with a 6.85-inch (174.06 mm) display. The bezel size of the entire #iPhone 16 series is set to decrease substantially, a new report claims, saying #Apple is working with manufacturers including Samsung to achieve the goal.👀 pic.twitter.com/VNIO1OcjE4 — AppleInsider (@appleinsider) March 20, 2024 Additionally, these Pro models are likely to introduce a new Capture Button, which can be used to capture photos or videos.
