Applications Are Now Open for the Singapore Blockchain Innovation Challenge 2022
The Singapore Blockchain Innovation Programme (SBIP) has announced the launch of the Singapore Blockchain Innovation Challenge 2022 hackathon.
SBIP is an initiative funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and supported by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and to further strengthen Singapore’s blockchain ecosystem.
Themed “Web3.0: The Next Vision of the Internet”, the hackathon is open to students, professionals, and enterprises across the country.
Three finalists will be selected respectively from the Corporate Track (for enterprises and SMEs) and the Enthusiasts Track (for students and professionals).
They will be chosen based on originality, business value and relevancy, innovation and creativity, operational feasibility and scalability as well as quality of pitch delivery.
These finalists will present their solutions at the closing ceremony on 13 January 2023 and the jury will assess them on two additional criteria of technical competency and user experience.
The total prize pool of S$80,000 will be distributed among the six winners based on their overall performance.
Winners of the Corporate Track will also be awarded SBIP membership, giving them access to seminars and workshops, technical support, and shared testbed notes.
Additionally, SBIP has partnered with IMDA and SG Women in Tech to provide special prizes for promising female participants to encourage more Singaporean women to pursue tech entrepreneurship.
Applications are now open until 9 January 2023.
