BANGLADESH BUSINESS INNOVATION SUMMIT & AWARD 2019 TO BE HELD
In order for innovation to take center stage in Bangladesh – BIC (Bangladesh Innovation Conclave) is going to put together Bangladesh Business Innovation Summit & Award 2019. The event will take place on the 12th of October, 2019 at Hotel Le Méridien Dhaka. The grand event will be powered by Mastercard and organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum.
Bangladesh Business Innovation Summit 2019 is designed to share local and global best practices & approaches to innovation. The key focus of the summit will be to drive innovation within different sectors & harness the skillset to drive innovation, adding value to the lives of people and helping them pursue inclusive growth.
Bangladesh Business Innovation Summit 2019 will be comprised of 3 keynote sessions, 3 panel discussions, 4 insight sessions, a case study and a start-up story. Regarding the initiative, Shariful Islam, Founder, Bangladesh Innovation Conclave has stressed, “For Bangladesh, innovation is the only way to achieve our country’s vision and pursue inclusive growth. Every institution needs to embrace innovation at its core to survive and thrive in the age of 4th industrial Revolution.”
The keynote speakers of the summit will be Kin Wai Michael Siu, Eric C. Yim Professor in Inclusive Design & Chair Professor of Public Design, School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Amer Farid, Director Corporate Partnership & Innovation of Unicef Norway, and Dr. Newton Howard, Professor of Neurocomputation, Neurosurgery and Mathematics at University of Oxford, Professor of Brain Sciences at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and Chairman of the Brain Sciences Foundation. Topics for the three panel discussions will be – How to Transform Your Company’s Innovation Culture, Driving Process Innovation in Your Organization, and Exploring a Collaborative Model to Build Bangladesh Innovation Eco- System.
The summit will be followed by Bangladesh Business Innovation Award 2019 that aims to recognize the vibrant community of innovators – from startups to established companies – and its breakthrough creations and ideas.
All the nominated campaigns that have been selected through rigorous jury sessions will be awarded across 10 categories and in two ranks – Winner & Honorable Mention. The jury sessions for nominating the campaigns comprised of the most respected marketing & brand experts to keep the process transparent, accountable and bias-free.
This year, Bangladesh Business Innovation Award 2019 got around 250 entries and the awards will be given across ten categories and in two ranks – Winner & Honorable Mention. To select the winners, the entries were rigorously evaluated by renowned innovation experts of the country. The categories of the award are designed for sectorial innovation which took place in financial sector, healthcare, start-up, agriculture sector, SDG inclusion, process, product development, social, public service and technology.
