Boone Innovation Lab (BIL) – Sawgrass sublimation printer!  – BCPL Undiscovered

In the newest Boone Innovation Lab at the Main Library in Burlington, you’ll find your next favorite tool such as the versatile sublimation printer!

With the Sawgrass SG-500 printer designed for sublimation printing and our heat-press, you are able to transfer detailed and colorful images on a variety of items such as shirts, hats, tumblers, mugs, coasters, mousepads and more!

It’s easy to get started. Once you find an image you would like to transfer onto an item, you’ll then upload it to our computer to print. Once printed on the sublimation paper, you’ll then tranfer the image to the item using our heat-press. And just like that, you’ve created a custom item!

Each print is $1.00 and the BIL carries 8.5×11 and 8.5×14 paper sizes. Please bring in your own item to transfer on. In addition, please make sure your item has a sublimation coating, either included with the item or applied on your own. If you don’t have a desired image in mind, feel free to choose from our image library through the Sawgrass CreativeStudio subscription.

The possibilities are endless with the Sawgrass sublimation printer! Don’t wait to start making your custom creations at the Boone Innovation Lab!
