Bristol Myers Squibb opens innovation hub in Hyderabad
The state-of-the-art site will expand the company’s global drug development and information technology and digital capabilities and is expected to house over 1,500 employees. The company has invested over $100 million in the creation of this cutting-edge facility. “Our new innovation hub in Hyderabad will accelerate drug development and enhance our digital capabilities,” said Christopher Boerner, CEO of BMS. “This investment also enables us to further diversify our global workforce by adding world-class local talent and strengthening our ability to positively impact patients everywhere,” he added. The facility was officially opened in the presence of Telangana Industries & Information Technology minister, D Sridhar Babu, Boerner, Greg Meyers, chief digital & technology officer of BMS. The Princeton, New Jersey headquartered BMS is one of world’s largest drug makers with revenues of $45 billion in 2023. BMS is among a slew of large pharma companies who are setting up their innovation hubs in India to service their global corporate and research and development operations and are also tapping India talent in data analytics and artificial intelligence.
