The MoU envisages a bridge between clinicians, healthcare practitioners and innovators for joint ideation and problem solving through product development, validation, mentorship, and capacity building. The agreement has identified the following areas of cooperation: Antimicrobial Resistance for greater exchange on key topics such as Infection Prevention and Control, Stewardship etc, clinical validation of emerging technologies for improved problem identification and solution, clinical and medical mentorship for C-CAMP start-ups and SMEs and knowledge building through joint scientific programs. Of these, AMR is a priority although the MoU is open to other areas of mutual interest.
Dr. Saiyed said, “This is the first such clinician-to-innovator linkage we have created, and we believe this will open a wealth of opportunities for our start-up community to innovate towards real healthcare challenges faced by doctors & healthcare practitioners on the ground. The Hub will begin its efforts by addressing the impending threat of Antimicrobial Resistance through a multi-stakeholder approach. The healthcare system is a valuable stakeholder in the combat and C-CAMP Aster Clinical Innovation Hub is a platform that brings them to the table.”

Clinicians and entrepreneurs have much to gain from each other and the C-CAMP Aster Clinical Innovation Hub will be an ideal starting point for a much wider and longer engagement at the organizational and ecosystem level.”
