Canada’s 4th Annual Innovation Corridor Summit will take place in Brampton

The 4th Annual Innovation Corridor Summit is hosted by the Brampton Board of Trade on behalf of Canada’s Innovation Corridor Business Council. The Council consists of business communities along the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area to Waterloo Region corridor. Overall, these business communities generate more than $360 billion in annual GDP. 

Brampton is at the centre of Canada’s Innovation Corridor.

“Canada’s Innovative Corridor is, in fact, Canada’s largest economic zone, it’s a geographic area that expands from Greater Toronto Hamilton Area to all the way through the Waterloo area,” says Jan De Silva, President and the CEO of Toronto Region Board of Trade. 

The Corridor Business Council is a collaboration between all the cities within the corridor … and collectively we represent more than 21,000 businesses,” says Jan. 

The Summit

Brampton Board of Trade will virtually host the Summit on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Summit will feature many Bramptonian guests and panelists. 

Participants to the Summit are primarily from the high-growth economic zone in Southern Ontario, which is defined by a dense cluster of advanced manufacturing and technology firms. However, the Summit also attracts businesses from all over the world.

The long-term goal of the Summit is to inform and drive transformational actions that shape the corridor’s future as a world-class region measured by talent, productivity, and quality of life.

Brampton is the heart of the Innovation Corridor and we will be putting our best foot forward at this Summit.”, says Todd Letts, Summit Host, and CEO of the Brampton Board of Trade. 

Theme: Disruption – Optimizing the Tech Talent Interface

The Council meets and promotes fundamental relationships that enable regional economies to better shape change, navigate it and compete on a global scale.

The 2021 Summit will explore key concerns linked with the theme of Disruption. Where the keynotes and panel discussions will focus on the human integration of talent and tech to capture sector-disruptive opportunities. 

The importance will be on the potential and practical applications topics of talent-tech integration to change processes at manufacturing plants, business offices, supply chains, and stores to not only adapt to disruptive forces but to boost business performance, consumer experience, and regional economic competitiveness.

It rivals corridors in other world-leading jurisdictions such as Southern California, Israel, Germany, and beyond. The Summit connects regional business communities in a way like no other.
