CEI Summer Intern Highlight – Emma Graham | | StFX Centre for Employment Innovation
This summer the Centre for Employment Innovation (CEI) is lucky to be joined by eight interns that are helping with research, engagement, and communication work alongside full-time staff. The CEI has partnered with St. Francis Xavier University (StFX), Venture for Canada, co-op programming, Nova Scotia Young Leaders, and the inaugural Nova Scotia Works Summer Student Internships funded by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education’s Skills and Learning Branch Employment Nova Scotia division to hire these youthful and enthusiastic people. We will be sharing more about our interns and the work they are doing throughout the summer on our social media pages, Facebook and Twitter. Our next highlight is Emma:
Emma Graham
Bachelor of Arts Double Major in Political Science and French, Acadia University
I am entering my final year of political science and French at Acadia University. Inside and outside of the classroom, I am passionate about research regarding global education, refugee studies and LGBTQIAP+ rights. As an avid researcher, I am looking to pursue a career as a policy analyst.
As a CEI Research Intern this summer, I’m interested to learn about the qualitative relationship between developmental evaluations and unintended directions taken in first voice research. Through engaging with community focused research methods, I am excited to be exposed to new types of research while helping local communities in the process.
When I am not deep into research or trotting the globe, you can find me taking long bike rides, meditating or brushing up on my German.
