Deadline approaches for 2018 IQ Awards gala honoring innovation – BizWest
BOULDER — Which are the most-innovative companies in the Boulder Valley? Attendees of the 2018 IQ Awards gala, honoring the “Innovation Quotient” among Boulder Valley companies, soon will find out. But the registration deadline is fast approaching, with 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, the last chance to purchase tickets. About 100 product-and-service finalists have been named for the 2018 event, scheduled for Oct. 22 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, 2601 Canyon Blvd. in Boulder. Winners and two runners-up will be announced in multiple categories at the event. A VIP reception will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and the awards ceremony from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A “Fireside Chat” titled “New Venture Finance: If You Build It, They Will Come” will include a discussion about financing for early- to mid-stage companies. Launched in 2000, the IQ Awards recognize innovative companies and organizations based in Boulder and Broomfield counties and the U.S. Highway 36 corridor, as well as local divisions of national and international companies that have been instrumental in developing the most innovative products and services. Tickets for the event cost $44.49 and can be purchased online here. Awards will be handed out for Innovative Company of the Year, Incubator/Accelerator of the Year, and 10 product categories.
