Educational Revolution In Three Dimensions: Onsor Technologies Paving The Way For Innovation At Sultan Qaboos University | عاشق عُمان
In a scene blending the authenticity of knowledge with the modernity of technology, Onsor Technologies, in collaboration with the Independent Learning Center at Sultan Qaboos University, concluded the events of the “Future Dimensions Week 2” corner, held at the Independent Learning Center from April 16 to 23, with the presence of Professor Dr. Salim bin Hamoud Al-Harthy, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs and Community Service, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Community Service Professor Dr. Hussein bin Ali Al-Kharousi, Dr. Hamoud bin Salim Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Independent Learning Center, and several faculty members, drawing the curtain on a revolutionary educational experience that opened new horizons for students and faculty members. The event witnessed a huge turnout of students who gathered to explore the innovative “AMAD Device” technology, which allows them to experience three-dimensional education without the need for special glasses. In this context, Engineer Maadh bin Ahmed Al-Hanai, CEO of Onsor Technologies, explained: “The ‘AMAD Device’ relies on advanced technology that enables the user to interact with three-dimensional content through precise cameras that monitor their eye movements. Thanks to this technology, the screen becomes a gateway to rich cognitive worlds, where images become clearer and more understandable, making it easier for students to grasp information in an engaging and effective way.” Al-Hanai added: “The capabilities of the ‘AMAD Device’ are not limited to facilitating the learning process but extend to enhancing interaction with educational content, adding a fun and enthusiastic dimension to the educational process. Three-dimensional images contribute to enhancing deep understanding of concepts, especially those complex ones that are difficult to visualize in two-dimensional space. The ‘AMAD Device’ technology represents a significant step towards enhancing the use of technology in education, and it represents a qualitative addition to the efforts of Sultan Qaboos University and Onsor Technologies in developing the educational process and providing a distinguished educational environment for all students.” Engineer Essam Al-Ismaili, CCO at Onsor Technologies, expressed his immense satisfaction with the success of the “Future Dimensions Week 2” event, affirming the company’s commitment to disseminating this innovative technology in all educational institutions, believing in its importance in improving the quality of education and enhancing students’ skills. He noted that this step comes as part of Onsor’s commitment to empowering society and providing opportunities for youth to engage in technology and innovation. It is expected that the “AMAD Device” will receive acclaim and interaction from young people and future makers who aspire to leverage technological opportunities and achieve their aspirations in the digital field. It is worth mentioning that the results indicate that students learning using three-dimensional technology have stronger memory, retaining 65% of the information, compared to only 10% retention rate using texts. Additionally, virtual reality and augmented reality technologies significantly increase students’ success rates, turning success rates from 10% to 85%. Three-dimensional technology also provides effective solutions for understanding complex and abstract information by presenting it in a lively and interactive way that facilitates students’ comprehension. As a result of these multiple benefits, studies indicate that three-dimensional technology represents a powerful educational tool that can greatly improve the quality of education.
