Elets Technomedia & NOIDA to host Urban Innovation Summit on December 23
Urbanisation is one of the prime phenomena experienced across the world, as a result of industrialisation, population migration and infrastructure development among others. Rapid urbanisation also gives rise to multiple challenges in terms of cleanliness and sanitation, environment pollution, traffic congestion and housing to name a few. Unless innovative approach is adapted by the urban authorities, these challenges can’t be mitigated.
To discuss and deliberate on the multiple facets of urban development, New Okhla Development Authority (NOIDA) in association with Elets Technomedia is organsing a one-day Urban Innovation Summit in Noida on December 23, 2019. The focus of the Summit would be urban sanitation and waste management, housing and urban infrastructure, mobility and smart transport and sustainable water management.
The Summit would host a gamut of keynote addresses and panel discussions on the themes like Sanitation and Waste Management, Housing and Urban Infrastructure, Smart Urban Mobility and Water Management among others.
Veteran policymakers Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India and U P Singh, Secretary, Department of Water Resource, RD & GR, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India would grace the Summit.
Ritu Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer, NOIDA, would deliver the welcome address and set the context of the Summit. Alok Tandon, Chairman, NOIDA would also give his insights on the themes of urban innovation and present the growth trajectory of Noida.
To bring a global perspective of urban innovation, Ambassadors of other countries would also be a part of the Summit.
The other key areas which would be explored include industry & investment, IT & eGovernance, Smart Cities, Real Estate & Infrastructure development, land use planning, affordable housing, power & energy, healthcare, and education.
The Summit would provide an opportunity to listen to the insightful views of the policymakers, urban planners and industry experts and network with the stakeholders of government and private sectors of the key areas pertaining to urban development.
