Join us for a dip into the wacky world of human psychology and behavioural economics. You’ll emerge with a new understanding of human functioning and learn some tools and techniques to apply it in designing world-class places.

Speaker Bios:

Laura is a behaviour scientist with a graduate degree in psychology and more than a decade experience promoting sustainability through behaviour change. She helps clients solve problems and enhance their programming by better understanding human nature. She uses techniques from Psychology, Social Marketing, Change Management, and Behavioural Economics to facilitate lasting, impactful change.

Akil is a partner at Strategic BIAS, a consulting firm that uses behaviour science & analytics to help client’s improve sustainability outcomes by understanding the decision making process and designing solutions backed by data. He has a background in Energy Engineering and has worked in the analytics field for 4 years before deciding to use his expertise to create social good. In his spare time he helps people build healthy soil from food waste.
