Former estate agent Chris Wood picks up innovation award for 3D tours – Property Industry Eye
Former estate agent Chris Wood has won a major award with his new company – which evolved from the online property ‘tours’ he used when running his former business.
Wood’s company Ocean3D has been named as ‘innovation gateway’ winner at this year’s ‘Future of Airports’ conference organised by New Civil Engineer magazine.
Wood’s competition entry highlighted the £249bn market open to businesses that fully embrace accessibility for people with both visible and hidden disabilities and injuries.
Wood, who owned and ran PDQ Estates in Cornwall until earlier this year, has created tours using Matterport technology for a number of clients, including churches.
Other clients include the Marco Pierre White group and military charity Turn to Starboard.
Wood, and his fiancée and business partner Ros Osborne, are already seeing a boost to business because of the award.
They say they have been approached by a number of senior delegates at the conference and are now in talks with a number of airport operators, plus architects and construction companies.
