Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center Recognized by Georgia Senate for Rural Community Service

MACON– The Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center(GRHIC), housed in the Mercer University School of Medication, was recognized by the Georgia State Senate for its constant record of service to Georgia’s 120 rural counties.

“We believe rural neighborhoods are fantastic places, vital to Georgia’s success” stated GRHIC Executive Director Tiffany Nelson. “The Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center helps those communities reach their goals and achieve positive healthcare results through community-led partnership.”

Previously this year, the State Senate passed Resolution 950, acknowledging the GRHIC for its service to those rural communities. The GRHIC has actually executed a Health center Management Training Program for rural, not-for-profit healthcare facilities; developed the Georgia Health Data Hub, a one-stop buy health info essential to rural Georgia; and developed the Georgia Rural Grand Obstacles, a unifying structure for attending to healthcare requires throughout rural Georgia.

About the Georgia Rural Health Development Center
