Grants for deaf children | Inclusion, development and innovation grant
Our inclusion grants are designed to help deaf children and young people get involved in events and activities, groups and clubs. The maximum grant is £150.
Who are they for?
Inclusion grants are for deaf children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18. By ‘deaf’ we mean any kind of hearing loss, including temporary. We welcome applications from low-income families who need financial support.
What are they for?
To allow deaf children and young people to join in with events and activities they wouldn’t be able to access without financial help. We prioritise applications where there is a long-term benefit to the child.
What do they cover?
They cover a range of things including equipment, class fees and after-school clubs up to a maximum of £150. We also help children and young people who are attending NDCS events with their travel costs (see our calendar of events).
We’re very sorry but we cannot pay for electronic equipment such as radio aids, laptops or phones. Learn more about alternative sources of funding in the grants section of our financial support page.
How to apply?
Follow the link below to complete an application form. Please give us plenty of information, as it helps us understand why you need the grant. Only complete applications will be considered.
When will I hear?
Please allow plenty of time. We review applications at the end of each month and will be in touch with you soon afterwards. While we will be as quick as we can, it can take 8 weeks before we process a payment.
