Horasis USA Meeting to examine the speed of innovation in the post-COVID era – Latin America Reports
Innovation in the digital space is quicker than situations when evidence needs to be gathered and analyzed: the COVID vaccines were fast-tracked and proved to be exceptional. Were they more costly than standard long drug development processes? How long does it really take for a FinTech and HealthTech innovation to reach commercialization? How to maintain enthusiasm when success may be illusory?
At the virtual edition of its annual USA meeting on March 4th, Swiss think tank Horasis International will present these questions to an expert panel on the subject of the merits and pitfalls of innovating quickly in the digital space and what that means as we enter into an era of post-pandemic recovery.
Founded by Frank-Jürgen Richter, this year’s USA conference put the world at the end-stages of a global pandemic under a magnifying glass as we reflect on all the new knowledge we’ve acquired in this tumultuous period.
Major issues facing humanity will be discussed by thinkers and leaders from around the world, on a broad spectrum of topics which include climate change, the rise of populism in western democracies, and the role AI will play in the future of humanity.
One panel at the conference will be on, “Innovations and Success: The Waiting Game”, to discuss the role digital innovation played in the healthcare industry, and still continues to play, throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The session will include leaders from Latin America, including Source Meridian President Mike Hoey. Before founding Source Meridian, Mike founded PurpleLabs. He is also a Board Member at IPSUM CLINICA, a site management organization operating in Colombia and is one the Advisory Board at The Bogota Post.
Chaired by Annette Nijs, Former Cabinet Minister for Education, Science and Culture, in the Netherlands, the talk will feature insights from speakers from around the world, including Rob Atkinson, President, Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (USA), Boyan Ivantchev, President of Boyan Ivantchev Advisory (Bulgaria), Robert H. Kahn the Managing Director of Automated Financial Systems (USA), and Orlando Remédios the Chief Executive Officer of Sensefinity (Portugal).
