Secure electronic IDs (eIDs) can make digital transactions, both in-person and online, more efficient, secure, and convenient. The European Commission has set a goal of getting at least 80 percent of Europeans to use eIDs by 2030, but existing efforts by member states have been lagging. To accelerat
