Indian Army’s latest innovation ahead of R-Day: Machine pistol ASMI | Defence Special
India’s first indigenous machine Pistol ASMI developed jointly by DRDO and Indian Army. It was displayed at Indian Army’s innovation display event. An Indian Army officer has indigenously developed a ‘microcopter’ which can be used by the Army to carry out surveillance inside a building or room in which terrorists are hiding. Indian Army also signed a contract for acquiring the Switch drone for surveillance along the borders. The vertical take-off & landing drone has the capability to fly for 2 hours at a maximum altitude of 4,500 meters. Indian Army’s Major Anoop Mishra has also indigenously developed world’s first universal bulletproof jacket ‘Shakti’ which can be used by both male and female combatants. The jacket is also the world’s first flexible body armour.
