Infosys, Rolls-Royce open aerospace engineering and digital innovation centre
Infosys and Rolls-Royce have extended their collaboration by opening their joint ‘Aerospace Engineering and Digital Innovation Centre’ in Bengaluru.
According to Infosys, the centre has been set up to offer high-end research and development (R&D) services. These are integrated with advanced digital capabilities to the engineering and group business services of Rolls-Royce from India.
Infosys said that its collaboration with Rolls-Royce has been strengthened via strategic deals, aimed at drawing mutual benefits to both of them during the next seven years.
Kishore Jayaraman — Rolls-Royce India and South Asia President said: “Our strategic partnership with Infosys presents an exciting opportunity for both companies to leverage combined strengths in engineering and digital innovation to accelerate growth in the civil aerospace market.
“Given the aerospace sector is poised for revival and growth in India and across the world, this joint innovation centre will strengthen Rolls-Royce’s global engineering ecosystem and position us well for the future.”

As part of the partnership, Infosys and Rolls-Royce will club together with their aerospace, digital, and engineering services capabilities for exploring opportunities for driving engineering and digital innovation and related strategies for cost optimization.
Infosys stated that by expanding the domestic talent pool in India, the two firms will also provide manufacturing engineering services for the civil aerospace ecosystem around the world.
