Intel Innovation will be a virtual, not hybrid event as announced earlier – VideoCardz.com
Intel confirms its Innovation event will focus on AI, cloud, connectivity, and PCs, but does not mention Alder Lake
As announced at Intel Architecture Day, the manufacturer will be holding its first Innovation event on October 27th. The event is part of a new Intel’s ON series.
The official invitation does not mention Alder Lake CPUs specifically, but the company actually does list the topics that will be discussed by Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger with invited guests. InnovatiON will focus on AI, could, 5G, edge, and PC solutions. Since the teaser does not mention Alder Lake, it is possible that Intel might want to announce its new products during a separate event.
Back in August, Pat Gelsinger mentioned that Innovation will be a hybrid event, which in this case meant the physical and online presence of the audience. This was also understood as a reference to hybrid architecture that Intel might reveal at the event. Turns out, the event will not be hybrid, as Intel has consulted with health officials and decided to switch to a fully hybrid event.
The fact that the event requires registration further suggests that no announcements are to be expected. Otherwise, Intel would opt to allow non-registered users to watch.
Kicking off with a virtual introduction, Intel Innovation, the first event in the new Intel ON series, will take place Oct. 27-28, 2021. Intel’s new technical conference will focus on its latest technologies to deliver AI, 5G, edge, cloud, connectivity and PC solutions with speed and real-world scale.
The health and safety of attendees, employees, partners and customers is always Intel’s top concern. After consulting with health officials and in the spirit of Intel’s safety policy, Intel Innovation will be a fully virtual event attendees can join online.
Registration to attend the full conference opens Sept. 15.
