Kopis donating $1000 prize at state-wide innovation series launch
One of the state’s leading software companies will be donating $1,000 to help spur the next level of innovation in South Carolina.
Kopis, a Greenville-based software company focused on creating custom software to provide real solutions for customers, will be doing this at the February launch of the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s Toolkit Talk.
Toolkit Talk is a three-day series of events celebrating the states most accomplished and creative minds. Attendees will mingle with recognized innovation leaders as features on Scribble, South Carolina’s content toolkit for the pursuit of innovation. Programming includes interactive networking, music and light hors d’oeuvres.
The event will kick off with a Pictionary inspired icebreaker- attendees will divide and draw as many innovation terms as possible in a seven minute window. The 10 best drawings will be added to the Scribble Facebook page for voting, and the winning team will select a local organization or nonprofit recipient of the $1000 prize.
The series starts in Columbia on February 4, then moves to Greenville on February 5 and finishes in Charleston on February 6. Greenville’s Toolkit Talk will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Serendipity Labs. The event is free to the public, but space is limited. Guests should RSVP promptly to the location of your choosing using the URL here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/scribble-toolkit-talk-series-and-celebration-tickets-86692131499
Scribble is dedicated to connecting, equipping and celebrating South Carolina innovators and their relentless pursuit of transformational ideas. From the university lab to the startup garage, Scribble believes the best way to build knowledge is by starting at the source.
“This is an incredible series that Scribble and the S.C. Department of Commerce are introducing to the public,” said Andrew Kurtz, president and CEO of Kopis. “At Kopis, we are proud to support a series focused on connecting and elevating innovators in South Carolina.”
