KU VC urges more students to embrace ‘Viksit Bharat’ ethos, encourages innovation

Srinagar: To display their dedication towards the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047,’ students from diverse departments of the university including NSS volunteers participated in a half-marathon. The event was organised by the university’s National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (DPES). The spirited half-marathon, held along the scenic Foreshore Road encircling the famed Dal Lake, culminated at the university premises, where the participants were received by the Vice-Chancellor (VC), Kashmir University (KU), Prof Nilofar Khan. On the occasion, Prof Nilofar Khan urged more students to embrace the ethos of ‘Viksit Bharat’, encouraging them to contribute their innovative ideas via the dedicated portal. Expressing contentment with the substantial turnout of students from Kashmir University, Prof Khan said: “The overwhelming participation is a testament to the passion that drives our young students towards contributing their creative, novel and innovative ideas for nation-building”. NSS Coordinator, Dr Musavir Ahmed, who flagged-off the half-marathon underlined the significance of the event while outlining the aims and objectives of the vision of ‘viksit Bharat @2047’. “This half-marathon symbolises our collective commitment towards nurturing a future where innovative thinking drives national progress,” he said. He expressed gratitude to all the stakeholders especially DSW and acknowledged the support by SSP Traffic, Srinagar for ensuring the seamless execution of the half-marathon. Senior university functionaries, faculty members, also participated in the event signifying the collective commitment towards fostering the ideals of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’.
