The Social & Inclusive Business Camp (SIBC) commits to high-impact entrepreneurs by launching its fifth call for applications for project leaders from across Africa. Apply before July 3, 2021 for a chance to participate in the SIBC2021 entrepreneurial adventure!!
The social & inclusive business camp has become a key event for African social entrepreneurs. Since being set up by the Campus AFD (French Development Agency) in 2017, the SIBC has helpedscale up nearly 200 African entrepreneurs with a strong social impact. The SIBC aims to support entrepreneurs and create long-lasting connections with a wide range of ecosystem stakeholders through innovative training sessions and networking with other companies, mentors and potential financial backers.
A CAPACITY-BUILDING PROGRAMME DEDICATED TO IMPACT ENTREPRENEURS WILLING TO SCALE UP
The entrepreneurs selected at the end of the call for proposals will have access to a three-dimensional programme to get them ready for their next development stage:
NETWORKING – AN ADDED VALUE IN YOUNG AFRICAN SMEs’ ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEYS
In addition to the training offered, the SIBC’s added value lies in its large network of stakeholders. The programme’s networking opportunities are based on 3 main dimensions:
A pan-African community of alumni
The SIBC is committed to bringing this community together by continuing to build bridges between the different editions – especially through mentoring whereby experienced alumni put their heads together each year to support one participant throughout the learning process as well as group sessions that are open to the entire SIBC community. The programme in involved in helping entrepreneurs connect and collaborate more effectively (strategic partnerships, access to new markets, contacts, etc.).
Inspiring encounters with entrepreneurs and experts throughout the learning journey
Peer learning is at the heart of the programme and a large number of experts from across the continent are invited every year to meet the entrepreneurs: investors, HR specialists, management coaches and inspiring entrepreneurs from growing companies all over the continent.
Creating funding opportunities during the Bootcamp and the EMERGING Valley summit
The programme gives companies the opportunity to meet a panel of potential investors and partners. These meetings are key to make a first contact that can lead to fruitful partnerships. During the 2020 edition, 40 investors and financial partners attended to meet the SIBC cohort during the speed-meeting event.
