A local inventor is working to empower Northlanders to get outside and embrace the elements without the fear of getting dirty, because he has a solution.

Tim White is the creator of Crud Cloth – a shower in a bag.

The product is composed of water, soap and essential oils and it is made locally in Hermantown.

White said he was inspired to create the product after years of avid mountain biking.

“Crud Cloth empowers adventure without the fear of getting dirty, so we really hope that this inspires people to get outside, get filthy, but then feel like they have a way to get clean afterwards,” White said.

Before opening the package, White explained that users should smack the side of it to activate the inner pod – which administers soap to the wash cloth inside.

“We have five different scents. We have peppermint, citrus, tea tree, lavender and unscented,” White said. “Additionally, it is reusable.”

Crud Cloth is sold at Continental Ski & Bike or online for $4 a piece or $16 for a pack of five.
