Ever wondered if your backpack could be secured by your fingerprint? Well, LockPack has developed a line of backpacks that boast a host of features including a fingerprint-sensing lock that secures the zippers of your bag.

LockPack recently hit Kickstarter where they have presented this idea of bags in two variants. One is a rugged backpack made of suede and leather, while the other is sleeker and minimalistic for more professional use.

The highlight of this bag is how the fingerprint lock works. The ends of the zippers have the lock attached to it where a notch automatically locks it into place. This lock is attached to a built in battery that is charged by a type-C charger and has a standby time of up to 3.5 months.

The fingerprint lock is designed to hold 10 fingerprints and has a response time of 0.4 seconds.

The company also gives its customers the choice to customise the name plate which is positioned at the front of the bag.

Apart from the fingerprint lock, the bags also have other features like being waterproof, a USB external port and can store a 16-inch laptop.

The company has raised US $ 6,573 so far against their goal of US $ 8,340 and will start mass production in April with shipping by May this year.
